En de liefde houdt nooit op... in vele huwelijksmissen klinkt deze zin uit de brief aan de Korinthiërs als een aanmoediging voor eeuwige liefde. Ödön von Horvath gebruikt hem als ondertitel voor zijn volksstuk Kasimir und Karoline , een gruwelijke zoektocht naar ons liefdeslot. De voorstellingen waren in april 2007 in Toneel Heverlee.
